"There exists only one goal for all of Buddha's methods: for mind to rest in the 'here and now', spontaneous and effortless."

Diamond Way Buddhism New Zealand is part of an international network of over 500 meditation centres in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, under the spiritual guidance of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje, and directed by Lama Ole Nydahl. They are not abstract institutions but friendly places where all can meet to learn from Buddha's timeless wisdom, meditation, share experiences and development, and actively participate.

The new meditation hall for the Christchurch centre was opened by Lama Ole Nydahl 1 Feb 2008.
